美国大学图书馆的读书会起到了丰富读者的课外阅读、搭建讨论平台、提高馆藏资源利用率等作用。美国大学图书馆在开展读书会过程中重视读书会前期工作，安排专门人员负责读书会工作，重视多渠道发布读书会信息，重视提供以往阅读图书信息。借鉴于此，我国大学图书馆在开展读书会时应重视搭建读书交流平台，安排馆员专门负责读书会，做好读书会各个环节的工作，加强与校内其他部门或组织的合作，制定激励措施，重视读书会网站建设。

Book clubs of university libraries in America enrich readers＇ out-of-class reading, build a discussion platform and improve the utilization of library resources. In the process of developing book clubs, the libraries attach importance to preliminary work, arrange special personnel to be responsible for book club jobs, deliver information via multi-channel, and emphasize on serving the book information that ever read. Taking university libraries in America as refernce, domesitic university libraries should pay attention to building a reading exchange platform, arrange special staff to be responsible for the book club, improving the whole-process management of book clubs, strengthening cooperation with other departments or organizations, formulating incentive measures, and emphsizing on the construction of website of book clubs.
