This paper investigated the gap acceptance behavior of pedestrians and cyclists at signalized intersections.Data was collected by video cameras, the accepted gaps of three transport modes were compared and Logistic regression was applied to model the gap acceptance behavior. The results indicate that the accepted gap of each transport mode at near end is significantly larger than that at far end. There is no significant difference among the accepted gaps of three modes;while cyclists have higher rates of red-light infringement than pedestrians. This main reason is that cyclists are more likely to violate the traffic lights than pedestrians in the situation without conflicting vehicles, although this is no significant difference of the violation rates in the situation with conflicting vehicles. The waiting status, acceptable gaps, gap type and the movement of conflicting vehicles are proved to have significant influence on gap acceptance behavior. These results in the paper are meaningful to understand and model the crossing behavior of violators at intersections.
