为进一步探索木材美学的研究方法和开发木材美学的应用价值,以桂花木为例,对其超微构造进行研究分析,然后根据分形几何理论开展木材超微构造图像的分形美学图案创作设计,并对其应用进行尝试性探索。结果表明,木材超微构造中存在许多具有美学价值的结构特征,如导管壁上的纹孔、螺纹加厚和轴向薄壁细胞的内含物等,这些结构特征可以作为美学图案设计的原始素材。借助分形设计软件,可以由木材超微构造特征图像设计出新的木材构造分形美学图案,可广泛应用于室内外装饰和家居用品的美饰设计。
In order to explore the research methods and unearth the utilization value of wood aesthetics , taking Sweet Osmanthus wood as example, firstly, its scanning electron microscope (SEM) structure was analyzed in the present paper .Then, based on the results of structural study , aesthetic pattern creation from ultramicroscopic structure of Sweet Osmanthus wood was carried out by means of fractal geometry , and application of such patterns was preliminarily explored .The results showed that many structural features with important aesthetic value existed in SEM structure of wood , such as pits and spiral thickenings on the wall of vessel elements and extractives in the cell cavities of parenchyma tissues , which could be used as the source materials of aesthetic pattern design.Using fractal design software , it is possible to create fractal patterns of wood structure from anatomical structure images of wood.Such fractal patterns of wood structure come from the nature but go beyond the nature , possess unique aesthetic effects , and can be used in design of interior and exterior decoration as well as decoration of articles of daily use .Fractal geometry could be expected to provide a new approach for wood esthetic pattern design .
