英文摘要：

“Repeat Photography” is a powerful tool for the detection , visualization and monitoring of regional eco-logical dynamics that uses common photographs .It has diverse applications in vegetation ecology researches.The concepts and application progresses of the method at different ecological scales （ e.g.landscape and community ） and fields （ e.g.climate change ） were systematically expounded .Steps and methods for establishing the two major categories of repeat photography projects , namely the “Historical Photos Repeat photography” and “Ecological Photo Monitoring” were generalized .Some historical nature photography collections were provided .The prospects of integrated applications of it with diverse remote sensing and Phenological methodologies were also explored in this paper .A“Public-participated Repeat Photography Ecological Monitoring Platform” was proposed , which could be possible by recent developments of public Mobile Internet Platforms and WebGIS .This paper may provide some references for ecological researches and environmental monitoring efforts .
