A new compound [ （H2bbi） （CrMo6H7024）] · 4H20 was synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis and single - crystal X - ray diffraction. The title compound crystallizes was in triclinic space, group P - 1 with a=7.8223 （7）A,b=8.9003（9）A,c=12.1326（10）A,α=86.193（7）°,β=86.951（7）°,γ=76.752（8）°,V=819.76（13）A3,Z=1. and Z = 1. The anions, bbi ligands and free water molecules through hydrogen bonds formed the three - dimensional supramolecular network.
