The nonlinear phenomenon of power amplifiers and its affections on the performances of communication system are discussed. Nonlinear distortions in MESFET amplifiers are analyzed with a general Volterra series. The effects of the nonlinear parameters, the source impedance and the load impedance on intermodnlation distortion are researched. Therefore, some important references are provided for the linearization of PAs.
