The emergence of effective vaccines has reduced morbidity and mortality due to infectious diseases in humans.In light of scientific advances and developments,primitive vaccines are no longer able to meet the needs of today's society.Modern theories of protective immunity suggest that effective protective immunity originates from the rational combining and arranging of epitopes.Techniques of preparing epitopes that have arisen in the last few years are being used to prepare epitope vaccines,which have their own unique advantages in providing protection from infectious diseases and malignancies.Thus,research has taken a new path of determining which epitopes are dominant.This paper describes the advantages of epitope screening techniques and reviews the latest research.
