Modern cities are becoming increasingly complex. Whether or not residents and visitors can efficiently utilize city resources depends heavily on the quantity and quality of guidance information provided by the city. The author will seek to explain the definition and significance of guidance information to a city. Based on observations in Beijing, the authors will also analyze existing problems of city information guidance and will propose major steps to improve it.
