This paper studies the system structure of enterprise Competitive Intelligence (CI) professionals from their different roles. It divides the modem enterprise CI managers into 11 categories, and analyzes the roles of the CI managers at different levels. The CI managers should possess the knowledge, skill and ability required in the enterprise CI activities. The division of the roles of the CI managers not only contributes to the training and career planning of CI professionals, but also match the CI human resources with the enterprise' s competitive strategy better.
