Based on the literature review of the development of both the education and training of outstanding engineers and engineering education professional accreditation, the necessity and theoretical basis of the combination of education and training of outstanding engineers and engineering education professional accreditation are analyzed. The engineering practical talent training mode of mechanical majors of facing to the outstanding engineers and engi- neering education professional accreditation is proposed. Through the optimization of talent training program and cur- riculum, strengthening the practice teaching inside the campus, deepening the united training of university and enter- prise and implementing double-teacher supervising, etc., the expected effects have been achieved.
