The osmotic characteristics of pig bone marrow stromal stem cells are exper- imental measured using electronic sizing technique.The cell volume measured is 5248.4μm~3, the relative diameter 21.6μm,at isotonic osmolality.The cell volume change is measured after the cells expose and equilibrate to different anisosmotic conditions.The cell volume is found to be a linear function of the reciprocal of the extracellular osmolality(Boyle van t Hoff plot).The non-osmotic volume of the cell is 36% of the cells isoto...
