A new conservative finite difference scheme is proposed for generalized nonlinear Schroedinger equations ,and its convergence and stability are proved. By means of numerical computing ,it is followed that the new scheme is much better than both CrankNicolson scheme and the scheme in the paper of Zhang Fei et al.
