The growth of entire Dirichlet series of infinite order is investigated. A strictly monotone increasing function and a new growth index are introduced. The relation between the growth on this function and the coefficients of entire Dirichlet series of infinite order is obtained under a weaker index condition. Introducing the function is of theoretical significance in studying the growth of entire Dirichlet series of infinite order.
