This paper assumes that the diverse outside social ties of entrepreneurial team members are conductive to the team innovation, and this relationship would be moderated by individual centrality in a team's social net- work and the evolutionary stages of an entrepreneurial team. The paper uses a cross-case study of 6 typical entre- preneurial teams to test the propositions above. The result shows that the creative performance of an entrepreneur- ial team is affected by the diverse outside social ties of entrepreneurial team members, individual centrality in the team's social network and the evolutionary stages of the team.
