在梳理科技创新、产业集聚与环境污染之间关系的基础上,提出四个研究假说。利用中国2000-2012年30个省份的面板数据,实证分析了科技创新、产业集聚对环境污染的影响。结果表明:科技创新能改善工业二氧化硫排放强度和排放总量;产业集聚与环境污染符合“倒u型”曲线;产业集聚水平在经济发展水平改善环境污染中起着一定的作用,而科技创新能力则影响产业集聚改善环境污染“拐点”的位置。沿海大部分省份跨越了产业集聚改善环境污染的“门槛值”,而内陆地区则需提高科技创新能力和产业集聚水平。
This paper studies the relationship of technical innovation, industrial agglomeration and environmental pollution by proposing four hypotheses. Using Chinese province level panel data from 2000 to 2012, we analyzes how the technical innovation and industrial agglomeration have effects on environmental pollution. Specifically, technical innovation can decrease the intensity and total amount of SO2 emissions. The relationship between industrial agglomeration and environmental pollution conforms satisfactorily to the inverted U-shaped curve. In the process of economic development, industrial agglomeration can have a positive effect on the environmental pollution. Moreover, technical innovation can affect the position of inflection point of the relationship above. Most coastal provinces have cross the threshold value of the industrial agglomeration. As industrial agglomeration can improve the environment, inland areas urgently needs to improve the ability of technical innovation and the level of industrial agglomeration.
