基于集聚与污染存在“倒U型”曲线关系的假说,选取2004—2014年中国285个地级及以上城市的统计数据,探讨制造业集聚、制造业与生产性服务业共同集聚对城市污染排放的影响,并分地区、规模进行了双向固定效应回归分析。结果表明制造业集聚、制造业与生产性服务业共同集聚对污染排放的影响均呈“倒U型”曲线关系;随着集聚层次的不断发展,当城市产业集聚水平跨过“拐点”后,产业集聚能改善污染排放状况。科技创新能有效减少污染排放,且在共同集聚与污染排放的“倒U型”曲线关系中发挥着显著作用。通过稳健性分析发现,不同区域、不同规模城市的制造业集聚、共同集聚对污染排放存在明显的区位性、结构性和规模性特征。
Based on the inverted U-shaped curve hypothesis of relation between agglomeration and pollution,the authors explore the effect of manufacturing agglomeration,co-agglomeration of manufacturing and producer services industry on pollution emission with a panel data of China’s285cities from2004to2014.Then the authors make the empirical analysis with the two-way fixed effects using the divided sample based on regional characteristic and population size characteristic.The results imply that manufacturing agglomeration and co-agglomeration of manufacturing and producer services industry both have an inverted U-shaped relation with pollution emissions.With the development of agglomeration,agglomeration may have a negative effect on pollution emission after the level of city agglomeration steps over the"inflection point".Innovation can significantly reduce pollution emissions,and plays an important role on the inverted U-shaped relationship between agglomeration and pollution emissions.After considering region and size factors,the effect of manufacturing agglomeration and co-agglomeration of manufacturing and producer services industry on pollution emissions has obvious characteristics about location,structure and scales.
