According to the Basset formula of probable number of stops, the essential factors for the elevator up-peak trip, down-peak trip and interfloor trip are explained. The concepts about the number of passengers loaded in a car and the actual number of passengers to ride are put forward respectively. Three patterns of interfloor trips are given. The formula of probable number of stops by the number of passengers loaded in a car is ensured. The formula of probale number of storps by the general travel model of elevator and the corresponding round trip time are given. It has been based technical theory and application foundation to the elevator traffic general dispatching completely.
