华坪乌骨鸡主要分布在云南省华坪县，是在金沙江河谷南亚热带燥热气候条件下，经过当地居民长期选育形成的地方优良鸡种，属西南山地乌骨鸡类型，肉蛋兼用。本次遗传资源调查和种质特性测定表明，该鸡体格较大，单冠、常羽，以皮、肉、骨“三乌”为其主要特征。在农户散养的条件下，具有较好的产肉性能，肌肉营养丰富，蛋品质和产蛋性能较好。该鸡对当地生态环境有良好的适应性，具有耐粗饲、抗病性强等优良特性。但该鸡群体中羽色类型较多，各观测指标整齐度差。本文结果揭示华坪乌骨鸡具有优良的种质特征，但其选育程度不高，属地方原始鸡种。

英文摘要：

Huaping black-bone chicken, which mainly distributed in Huaping County, Yunnan Province, was formed under long-term natural selection of dry and hot climate of the Jinsha river valley in south subtropics and artificial selection and variety breeding by local residents. This chicken belongs to the type of mountain black-bone chicken in southwestern China, which is used as meat and egg dual purposes. The results in the present investigation and testing of germplasm characteristics revealed that Huaping black-bone chicken possesses big body size, single comb and normal feather, and its main features are black skin, black meat and black bone. Under the scatter-feed by household in rural area, Huaping black-bone displays good meat performance, meat and egg quality and laying performance. This chicken has a good adaptability to local ecological environment, shows crude feed tolerance and high disease resistance. But there are many feather color types in its population. The uniformity for the observation index of Huaping black-bone chicken in the present study is poor. The results in this study indicate that Huaping black-bone chicken is of good germplasm characteristics, but it is a indigenous primitive chicken breed with lower level of selecting and breeding.
