through the methods of literature material and field survey, this paper has carried on the investigation and study on the status quo of sports cultural industry in the central plains. The theoretical connotation of sports culture industry are expounded; the central plains the resources distribution of sports culture industry and industrial layout are analyzed; the characteristics of the sports cultural industry in the central plains are pointed out, the sports cultural industry in the central plains has been classificated; Finally the 3 main factors which restricted the development of sports cultural industry in the central plains are pointed out, aiming at providing theoretical reference for the nice and fast development of sports cultural industry in the central plains.
