Fu Rengan is a famous modem educator and youth education is an important part of his education thought. In terms of the significance of youth education, he stresses that the youth education plays an important role in personal growth, social progress and national development. For the goal of youth education, he advocates ＂perfect person＂ being fostered. In terms of the contents, he does not only attach impor- tance to all-round development in morality, intelligence, physical fitness and aesthetics, but also insists guidance to students＇ outlook on life and their idea of employment. As to teaching methods, he praises highly of personality education, paper-reading, addressing and contacting to society. These distinctive education thoughts have great significance in solving current problems in education reform, the employment of youth and the countryside stepping out from poverty.
