采用热压成型工艺制备了超高分子量聚乙烯(UHMWPE)/珊瑚羟基磷灰石(CHA)复合关节材料,利用人工髋关节模拟磨损试验系统,研究了该类复合材料与CoCrMo合金组合关节在小牛关节液润滑条件下的摩擦磨损性能。实验结果表明,添加CHA能有效提高UHMWPE关节材料的表面硬度,降低其磨损率。当CHA添加量为20 wt%时,可获得表面硬度与抗磨损性能的良好匹配。小牛关节液润滑条件下,UHMWPE及其复合材料的磨损机理主要表现为研磨磨损和疲劳磨损,磨损颗粒尺寸随CHA粉体添加量的增加而增大。
The artificial joint material of UHMWPE composite reinforced with coralline hydroxyapatite (CHA) in different contents was prepared by the pressing formation method. A hip joint wear simulator was used to investigate the biotribological behavior of a CHA/UHMWPE acetabular cup against a CoCrMo alloy femoral head in calf bovine synovia lubrication at 35 ℃ ± 1 ℃. The experimental results indicate that the addition of CHA powders to UHMWPE enhances the hardness of the composites, and decreases the wear rates under calf bovine synovia lubrication. When the addition of CHA powders is up to 20 wt%, CHA/UHMWPE composites demonstrate the well designed performance of the hardness and biotribological behaviors. The abrasive and fatigue wear are the main wear mechanisms for CHA/UHMWPE composite cups. The sizes of the wear particles become larger with the increase of CHA powders addition.
