The village elite is an important supporting-force for rural development. Investigated the case of Zhangcun, we concludes that a villager grow into elite is the result of the spread of his autonomy, but also a mixed process of multi-authority. It＇s concerned that the spread of new elite＇s autonomy can release great energy, but the excessive expansion of new elite＇s autonomy contains some risks. For the development of rural society, it＇s necessary to cultivate new village elite. Then the new village elite will be an important driving force for rural development and peasants＇ transformation.
