Toxoplasmosis caused by Toxoplasma gondii is a zoonotic parasitic disease that seriously endangers human health. Recent studies have focused on the use of vaccines to control this parasite. Surface antigens (SAGs) are molecules that could be effectively used to produce vaccines. This review outlines the status of research on vector-based SAG vaccines against T. gondii. These vectors include bacteria such as Lactococcus lactis, Mycobacteria smegrnatis, Salmonella typhirnuriurn , Brucella abortus , Agrobacterium turne f aciens , and Pichia Pastoris , viruses such as Adenovirus, Baculovirus, Pseudorabies virus, feline herpesvirus type 1, Sindbis virus, and influenza A virus, and parasites such as Leishmania tarentolae and Neospora caninurn.
