This paper deals with degenerate mappings of finite distortion,in which the rank of n × n- matrix Df（x） is l：1≤l〈n. We derive the monotonicity of mappings in the space W^1,l（Ω,R^n）, W^1,l）（Ω,R^n） and Orlicz - Sobolev space W^l,p（Ω,R^n）.
