This paper probes into the historical structure and daily practices of local belief in Zhangbi Village of Jiexiu City in Shanxi Province, especially fo- cusing on its unique worship of Khan. The paper aims to elaborate on the dynam- ic historical process that the multiple communities, histories and beliefs interact in such a village of Loess Plateau, thus to explore the practical strategies of local people＇s collective memory, narrative and recognition in their special belief struc- ture and interactive history. The case study will shed light on the issue of plural- istic integration and cultural identity for the civilization of Loess Plateau.
