结合近代中国的社会学与人类学演变简史，探寻学科对象的时代转型。由“社会”概念的梳理开始，讨论了从“群”到“族”直到“国家”的范畴脉络及相互关联，最后以中国人类学界近期出现的文明研究为例，阐述了超越“乡土中国”之“村落范式”的背景和意义。
英文摘要：
Based on the brief history of evolution of sociology and anthro- pology in modern China, this paper discusses the transformation of discipline ob- ject at different times. It starts from the clarification of the concept of ＂society＂ and analyzes the category, link and correlation of the terms from ＂community＂, ＂society＂ to ＂nation＂. At the end of the paper, the newly--emerged civilization study in the field of anthropology in China is taken as an example to elaborate the background and significance of ＂village paradigm＂ which surpasses the concept of ＂earthbound China＂.
