Based on the analyses and discussions on the concept,dimensions of knowledge heterogeneity,shared mental model and knowledge innovation performance of RD team,by shared mental models for intermediary variable,the article discussed the relationship between knowledge heterogeneity and knowledge innovation performance,established the relation model of the three.In the article,the shared mental model was divided into two dimensions of consistency and accuracy,the cause of an ＂inverted U＂-shaped relationship between knowledge heterogeneity and knowledge innovation performance was explored.
