On the basis of the comprehensive survey and research on Xin Xiu Yu Pian(《新修玉篇》), the present essaychooses 15 characters such as sheng (墭), yi( ), yin(婬), bian( ), pan( ), yan( ), bi( ), Yue(捳), pan(蒰), piao(篻),guan(鏆), dou( ), zhui( ), zhe( ), and zhi( ) for critical study, in the hope of providing references for collatingand completing Xin Xiu Yu Pian as well as for compilation and revision of the future large-scale dictionaries.
