The low efficiency of ancient Chinese character＇s traditional word processing approach is the underlying reason that could explain for the dissatisfactory effect of the existing practical application of side components＇ analysis approach.Consequently,the indispensable way to alter the status quo is to build up a universal digital platform for the ancient Chinese character＇s side components.In addition to the exhaustive collection of relevant materials and the comprehensive assimilation of the existing research achievements in the textual research of ancient Chinese character,the construction of the digital platform also needs to fulfill the following requirements to furthest create a digital environment which contributes to the scientific application of side components analysis approach.Firstly,we should set a standard to loosely identify side components.Besides,the annotation of side components should be made on the basis of the following parts：the differences in configuration,the associated features which tend to cause the differences,the usage in the original context and the features of their combination relationship.And the multilayered fidelity of the provenance of side components should also be ensured.The application of side components＇ analysis approach in digital environment cannot leave the developing and sharing of resources on the digital platform,the academic norms in the verification of research materials and the innovative thinking of the analysis approach based on the platform.
