There are 103 characters in fish radical Chinese characters in Paraphrasing Texts and Words of Shuo Wen Jie Zi. According to the clue of the structure and meanings of the characters, this article seeks to explore the ancient Chinese fish culture. According to the research, with the continuous improvement of fishing technology and increasing fish production, the ancients learn more and more kinds of fish. And the classification of fish and plentiful fish food culture appeared in the ancient times. All of these constitute an important part of Chinese fish culture.
