摘要:近年美国的“世界文学史新建构”潮流中,世界文学经典的选编出现新的趋势,包括中国在内的“非西方”文学经典较多的进入美国重要文选《朗曼世界文学选本》等。文选编者克服西方文学中心观念,以跨越文明文化的方法论,再现世界多元文明经典的努力值得肯定,依据美国学者戴姆若什的三类新经典理论,分析了中国古代文学经典的选择标准与评价,指出文选对中国20世纪文学鲁迅的地位与评价也有恰当的处理。但无须讳言编选者关于世界文学经典的理论包括社会进化论来解释世界文学发展等仍有不足之处,从文学认识论而言,世界文学经典的形成应当是西方与“非西方”的多元文明文学杰作的融合创新。
In recent years, there is a new tendency in the "Reconstruction of World literature" in United States,i. e. more and more non-western literature including Chinese literary canon appear in the anthologies of world literature such as The Longman Anthology of World literature. The anthologists overcome the idea of western literary centralism and with a cross-civilizational (cultural) methodology create a new canon of world multicivilizations system. Their effort is worth affirming. According to the viewpoint of David Damrosch' s three kinds of new canons, we analyse selected principles and critical standards to Chinese lit- erature classics. This paper points out that the anthologists have an evaluation and proper handling of Chinese literature in the twentieth century e.g. the assessment of Lu Xun. But there is still much to be desired in their explanation of the development of world literature. From literary cognition, the formation of canon of world literature should be the integration and innovation of the masterpieces of western literature and non-western literature.
