Reasonable selection of main equipment providers for thermal power is vital to the successful construction of thermal power project.The paper proposes an evaluation and selection model of the main equipment providers for the thermal power based on prospect theory,which fully considers the psychological characteristics of reference dependence and risk aversion when decision makers evaluate and select the objects.Meanwhile,the paper uses variation coefficient method to determine the evaluated index weights,reduce the subjective factors of selecting equipment providers and improve the differential capability on alternatives.Taking a certain thermal power plant project bidding as an example,the validity and rationality of this model mentioned above is verified.Finally,the paper discusses the importance of risk aversion factor on the main equipment provider＇s selection of the thermal power based on the sensitivity analysis of risk aversion factor.
