Hypothesis is an important grammatical category in human language. Although hypothetical sentence only appears in the clause,the assumptive features can only be reflected in the surface structure of a sentence in the three syntactic sensitive locations——the beginning of a sentence,the predicate head,the sentence end through different syntactic means such as shifting of sentence sequence,adding hypothesis signs,overlaping,etc. The hypothesis category,therefore,is a kind of complete sentence functional category. The assumptive features can facilitate the conversion of a structure into a sentence,and perform a complementary function with other sentences. Judging by the criteria of the sentence function,assumptive features perform the typical sentence function.
