前沿研究关注资本投资数量对经济产出的贡献,却普遍忽视资本质量变化可能对经济产出的影响。针对当前资本质量和技术进步定量研究的局限性,本文采用生产函数法利用非线性似不相关模型测算耦合于资本积累过程中的体现式技术进步。结果显示,在1980—2012年期间资本体现式技术进步以年均2.88%的速度提高资本质量,我国经济效率的改善既源于全要素生产率表征的中性技术进步作用,也受益于设备资本质量的提升。
Frontier research concentrates more on the contribution of capital investment to economic output, but prevalently ignores the impact of changes in capital quality on output. Aiming at the limitations on calibrating capital quality and technical change quantitatively, this paper adopts production function method based on nonlinear seemingly unrelated model to measure the embodied technical change embedded in capital accumulation process. We show that during 1980 to 2012, embodied technical change boosts capital quality improvement at rate of 2. 88% annually. The improvement of economic efficiency in China is stemmed from total factor productivity (TFP) featuring in disembodied technical change, simultaneously is beneficial from capital quality improvement of equipment as well.
