The production life-cycle six-sigma solutions (Lcss) based on the IDDOV (Identify, Define, Develop, Optmize, Verify) process of DFSS Design For Six Sigma theory is applied to the research of reliability design of mining and metallurgical equipment in complicated conditions. Taking the radial-bearing lubricating design as an example, the process and technology of lDDOV is applied to reduce the fault rate of the part invalidation due to the bad lubrication in the svere environment and finally the results are verified. This technique offers a new way to solve the design difficulties of mining equipments with lower cost, higher reliability and quality.
