Pipe-laying vessel as an important offshore engineering installation,its features is the key of the laying especially for deepwater.In view of the development of pipe-laying vessels at home and abroad,analysis and conclusion are made from two aspects-pipe-laying approach and hull characteristics.The features and key equipment of S-lay in deepwater are also analyzed.It forecasts the application trend of S-lay pipe-laying vessels in deepwater.
