英文摘要：

This paper analyzed the difficulties and problems existing in the development and construction of the discipline of traditional Chinese medicine（ TCM）. It further describes the current value orientation of discipline development of TCM,i. e. correctly treating the academic cannotation; following the inherent logic of academic development of TCM,and building a ＂greater Chinese medicine＂discipline system; developing around the national social and economic development needs; strengthening the advantages of discipline construction; following the academic,education and service functions of the disciplines,and transformation from scale expansion to connotation development to carry out discipline interior modulation. The paper proposes that the strategic choice for the development of discipline construction of TCM should be determining the direction of discipline development,improving the overall level of the construction; integrating resources to realize the scientific development of the discipline construction; carrying forward the University spirit to enhace the strength of sipirt in the construction.
