From the transport energy consumption and current status of carbon emissions in Hangzhou, the development status of low carbon transport was analyzed. The meaning and the characteristics of low-carbon transport system were explained, the exploration and practice effects on construction of public transport system, the planning of low-carbon city construction, the application of energy emission reduction technology, the remediation of high-polluted vehicles, the use of energy saving technology, the utilization of low-carbon energ＇v, and other aspects in Han~zhou were reviewed.
