Analysis on time and spatial evolvement rules of inbound tourism market was a hotspot.According to relevant data of inbound tourists from 2000—2008 in Chengdu,through analysis on preference scale and competition state,the time and spatial evolvement rules of inbound tourists in Chengdu were revealed.This paper pointed out that Thailand was the most important inbound tourism market of Chengdu,but the preference scale was declining since 2004.Facing the state that the space distribution was well mixed,to ensure the inbound tourism market goes steadily up,related department must focus on markets whose competition state declined.
