There are language chunks at the phrasal level in Zhu Zi Yu Lei （朱子语类） , the formation of which is based on some commonly spoken sentence patterns, such as collocations, abbreviations, parentheses, framework - formatted embedding structure, etc. These language chunks, which have yet to be solidified or have half- solidi- fled, belong to dynamic speech units, different from not only fixed expressions like idiomatic phrases and proverbial sayings, but also unrestrained phrases. To a certain extent, such language chunks do possess some cohesive force, presenting features similar to framework - formatted combinations and showing the dynamic evolvement of the interaction between the meanings of spoken languages and those of written languages.
