The word “Qiao Shou yi Dai”（翘首以待）which appeared in Song dynasty gradually took place of the word “Qiao Zu er Dai”（翘足而待）which appeared in the Han dynasty. Through the analysis of the two words, it can enrich the dictionary and comb the semantic evolution of two. This substitution is due to the combined effect of vivid, clear meaning and cultural psychological factors.
