The cancer patients often feel depressed or manifest with other symptoms caused by qi stagnation. Therefore, qi stagnation is an important cause of cancer. Qi-rectifying depression-resolving therapy is commonly used in cancer treatment, including qi-rectifying liver-soothing and depression-resolving therapy, qi-rectifying phlegm- dispersing and depression-resolving therapy, qi-rectifying blood-quickening and depression-resolving therapy and qi- rectifying heat-clearing and depression-resolving therapy. The mechanism of action may be related to inducing tumor cell apoptosis, inhibiting tumor cell proliferation, regulating immune, and reversing multidrug resistance of tumor cells.
