Zona pellucida is an important structure closely related to oocyte maturation, normal fertility and embryo implantation. More studies show that the zona pellucida property had a close relationship with the subsequently developmental potential of embryo. In this paper, the studies about the relationship between zona pellueida and developmental potential of oocyte and embryo were reviewed.
