The paper based from the traditional Chinese medicine information sharing and interoperability to the need of the traditional Chinese medicine electronic medical record basic dataset standardization and analyzed the present situation of the traditional Chinese medicine electronic medical record basic dataset research. Then the paper introduced the research contents, research ideas and research method of the traditional Chinese medicine electronic medical record basic dataset, including dataset concepts, compilation principles, compilation basis, research methods and research steps. Finally the paper summarized and prospected the research of the traditional Chinese medicine electronic medical record basic dataset standard.
