文章结合《国家中长期教育改革和发展规划纲要（2010—2020年）》的要求和生态教育的实质,全面论述了在大学生中开设＂生态学通识课＂的重要性,提出开设＂生态学通识课＂是国家发展需求、个人发展需求与学科发展需求,但存在普及但不系统、了解但不甚了解、求知但不认知的问题。目前高校师资队伍雄厚、课程体系完善、科学研究的支撑、学生的实际需求和学习目标容易实现等客观条件为开设生态学通识课提供了可能性。

Combine with the need of ＂ National Medium and Long -term Plan for Education Reform and Development Plan （2010-2020） ＂ and the essence of ecological education, the paper discusses completely the importance of setting ＂ Ecology General - course＂ in Undergraduate. And it proposes that ＂ Ecology General -course＂ is opened for the need of national development, personal development, and disciplinary development, but there is problem that popular but not systematical, know it but not completely, seek for learning but not recognition. At present, university has the following objective condition： rich faculty, perfect curriculum system, the support of scientific research, easy to achieve the actual need and learning goal, which can provide possibility for setting ＂ Ecology General -course＂
