近5年环洞庭湖区三市经济得分低于环境得分，经济发展相对滞后的矛盾较为凸显。环洞庭湖区域经济与生态环境协调度得分低于长株潭地区而高于湘南地区和大湘西地区，协调类型稳定处于初级协调状况。因此，环洞庭湖三市必须依托自己的比较优势着力培育新的经济增长点；着力改善生态环境，建立经济与生态环境协调发展的体制机制；大力培育战略性新兴产业，加快传统产业的两型化升级改造，使战略性新兴产业成长为拉动环洞庭湖区域经济又好又快发展的主导力量。
英文摘要：
As for the three cities in the Dongting Lake Area, their economic scores have fallen behind their envi- ronmental scores in recent five years. The score of coordinative development degree of economy and environment in the Dongting Lake Area is lower than that of CZT Area but higher than that of Southern Hunan and Western Hunan. The coordinative type is stably at the initial coordinative type. Therefore, the three cities in the Dongting Lake Area must cultivate their new economic growth points depending on their comparative advantages, improve their environ- ment to establish the systematic mechanism balancing economy and environment, accelerate the speed of upgrading traditional industries according to the ＂two-oriented＂ principle and cultivate the strategic emerging industries to make them the leading power of promoting the economic development in the Dongting Lake Area.
