Chemical compositions, pharmacological effects and extraction process of Scabiosa comosa Fisch. ex Roem. Et Sehuh and Scabiosa tschilllensis Grunning, which are traditional and national medicinal plants of China, were reviewed in this paper. Existing problems were pointed out, and relevant proposals were put forward.
