In order to further study the conservation laws of a generalized Birkhoffian system,the method of integrating factors for Birkhoffian systems is extended to a generalized Birkhoffian system,which establishes a new method to find the conservation laws of the generalized Birkhoffian system.The generalized Killing equations which are used to determine the integrating factors are presented by finding the necessary conditions for the existence of the conservation laws of a generalized Birkhoffian system and establishing the relation between the conservation laws and the integrating factors.Then,the conservation laws of the generalized Birkhoffian system can be found.The results show that the method of integrating factors can be used to study the conservation laws of a generalized Birkhoffian system.
