Eco-translatology holds that translation process is the process of translator ’s multidimensional adaptation-selection to translation eco-environment.While relevance translation theory emphases the translation procedure is the process of searching for optimal relevance.A comparative study on the two modes is carried out.The standpoint is held that the two modes can supplement for each other and can be integrated into one new mode.Adaptation-selection is the way to seek optimal relevance.The integration has a comprehensive survey on translation and can provide more powerful explanations to translation practice.
