Taking two levels of diagnosis and improvement policy as evaluation objects, on the basis of understanding the connotation of the document, comparative analysis on the contents and diagnostic items reference table of the two levels diagnosis and improvement documents was carried out, and the results show that： the name and contents of the policy document should be standardized; the name and structure of the Expert Committee on diagnosis and improvement should be optimized; the logical relationship between policies should be clarified. At the same time, in practice level, the internal organization construction of higher vocational colleges should be strengthened, and the concepts and implementation of teaching diagnosis and improvement should be researched deeply.
